Hi-Fish Retro Collection
by Jenny Jost
·
For the relaunch of Hi-Fish, we have this Retro Collection with the most popular designs from the 90s - it contains 13 pieces.
It was created because young ravers called for it. That's why this Retro Collection is dedicated to the ‘connection between the generations’.
The newest and the first Hi-Fish model, Jana and Rita, meet in the Daniel H. bar in Zurich. Rita Tarnover came from Moscow very young and fresh in the mid-1990s; she hardly spoke any German.
Today she paints and takes photos, and sometimes she is on the road as a DJ. Jana Jost is Hi-Fish's house model today. She completed her apprenticeship as a track construction worker at the Swiss Railway last summer.
The Retro Collection is ready - you can order your favourite model here. Production is financed by sponsorships; we offer one sponsorship for each of the 13 models.
As a sponsor, you can back your sponsored model with a production loan and have the chance to win the ‘Hi-Fish Sponsor Cup’!
Behind the designs of the Retro Collection are: Johannes Gees, Nik Emch, Gabi von Moos, Tuffi Kristijan Sessa, István Vizner, Reto Gehrig and myself. I will show you these people in my next blog article.
Relive the 90's
The Retro Collection reflects the lifestyle of the 90s. We sold T-shirts at raves and promoted our fashion with innovative marketing and guerrilla PR.
Hi-Fish comes from the Zurich subculture. Immerse yourself in the 90's.
In the mid-90s, fans, models, photographers, artists, organisers and media people joined Hi-Fish and gave the label its drive; for many, Hi-Fish was even their first professional experience.
I have already found some alumni, like Raoul Meier from Tele Schwamendingen. Raoul and his friend Steven Merkle used to go to raves and film. They are now in the process of cutting together a historical document from the material.
You can also buy Hi-Fish fashion at events and festivals!
